NYU Medical Center was severely damaged by Sandy, both by floodwater and extended power outages leading to catastrophic freezer failures and loss of many transgenic mouse colonies.
Hundreds of researchers at NYU Langone Medical Center scrambled today to salvage years of research into: heart disease, cancer & other diseases as well as priceless lab specimens that have been put in jeopardy by Sandy.
NYU lost power shortly after Sandy struck.
Immediately after hearing, the Microryza leadership team set up a campaign to help.
