TED is strong in terms of what it offers. It’s not about the talks or the brilliance of intellect and wisdom of the speakers — rather it is about how TEDTalks act as a catalyst to spark discussions.

The same goes for TEDx.


So, what’s the x in TEDx? Many ask. While some call it a multiplier — 2 to 4, 4 to 16 — others have a theory that it is the variable. However, I believe that x is the mystery ingredient found in all TEDx organizers around the world. It is what encourages them to create marvels within their community, discover and present new ideas, and create a long-lasting change — all at no cost.

I finally figured I should post this up now that the contest is long over.

A buddy of mine was a Lenovo brand ambassador, and asked several people to do a video explaining what a “doer” was. It was meant for a contest that allowed you to be a representative of Lenovo I believe.

Anyway, following my usual theme of Inspiration/Dorky post: voila. 

Note: the best thing about having made this video (I originally contested to doing it), was because I made it & published it online (rules of the contest)— a TEDx curator saw it, and asked me to be the MC for their event.

It begins.. #TED (Taken with Instagram at TEDxYouth@Seattle) Today, I had the opportunity to be a part of something incredible. I was the Marketing Director of a TEDx event aimed at inspiring the younger generation, & enforcing social change: TEDxYouth@Seattle It was amazing to see speakers OUR AGE doing things that before they spoke, I didn’t think was possible. I have always tried to fight my limitations & do good— by me & others. Google’s unofficial motto, “Don’t Be Evil”, means exactly that: Change the world. Make an Impact. And try to push the world forward. It was like Christmas morning to see that I’m not the only one who believes in that, and also strives to make an impact. I don’t think I’ve ever been more motivated to continue doing what I’m doing like I am right now. New week. Time to get it.
